When I stopped drinking, the rest of the world didn’t slow down to accommodate me. I had to adjust everything about me – no one could do it for me.
I am responsible for my recovery. There are no acceptable excuses. I cannot pin my failings on anyone else.
This is serious. This is life and death. This isn’t a hobby. I may never get a second chance.
But there are others like me who have found a way to recover. I followed their direction. I found that God had been carrying me all along.
Surrendering my life to God saved my life. But I still have work to do.
God, please help me to be ok today. Thank You. Amen.
