I can be led to change, but I still have to do the work. If I don’t put in the effort to change my old ways, I’m still the same person exercising the same old character defects.
I am the one who primarily benefits from the change. Initially it may feel punishing, but it is not punishment.
It is a unique opportunity to correct the course of my journey.
Faith can move mountains, but I have to bring a shovel. No one is going to do it for me.
